Lawn Care - Residential or Commercial

Prices depend on the size of the property, number of work area obstacles, and amount of work required. We typically meet with you, walk around your property and determine the rate for your property.

All prices include complete mowing, edging, and sidewalk/driveway clearing. Grass is mulched so no need for bagging. However, we do offer a bagged grass option for an additional fee.

Mowing:

Mowing is one of the most important cultural practices performed in lawn maintenance. Regardless of whether the lawn is fertilized, irrigated or receives applications of control products, proper mowing practices are essential if a high quality lawn is to develop. Properly mowed lawns will have fewer weed populations, better moisture stress tolerance and generally better quality than lawns not properly mowed.

We are here to help make your lawn mowing experience both beneficial and pleasurable.

Includes - mowing ( all turf areas ) trimming ( along fences, buildings, and trees ) edging ( all sidewalks, driveways ) blowing ( all sidewalks, driveways, patios, and edges will be left clean ) grass will be removed from cracks in pavement.

Ryan's Lawn Care has a minimum of $35.00 for mowing.

Aeration:

* RELIEVES SOIL COMPACTION
* STIMULATES NEW ROOT DEVELOPMENT & TURF GROWTH
* WATER & FERTILIZER INTAKE
* DRAINAGE
* HEAT & DROUGHT STRESS TOLERANCE
* THATCH CONTROL
* TURF THICKNESS & DENSITY

To maintain a healthy lawn through periods of stress, the soil needs water, air and nutrients in the top 6 to 10 inches. Soils that are hard and compacted, have no "nooks and crannies" to hold the water, air or nutrients. Without these crucial components, root growth is impeded, which prevents the grass from developing the deep root system that is essential to survive in hot and dry or harsh and cold periods.

A core aerator's tines pull plugs of soil from the lawn. Core aeration is the process of mechanically removing plugs of thatch and soil from the lawn. Aeration opens the soil, helps reduce compaction, improves water infiltration, improves rooting, reduces thatch and acts in many other ways to improve the lawn and reduce stress. Aeration restores the vital "nooks and crannies" to the soil.

Core aeration can be used to minimize thatch accumulation, to modify its physical characteristics, and to reduce soil compaction. Soil plugs are deposited on the turf surface (see right). These plugs then break down and redistribute soil throughout the thatch layer. The soil from the plugs helps to modify the physical structure of the thatch, making it a better growing medium. This soil also enhances thatch breakdown by introducing the beneficial microorganisms that feed on thatch.

Most turf grasses growing in heavy clay or poor soils benefit greatly from annual aeration to reduce thatch buildup and more importantly, to relieve soil compaction. This cultural treatment will help improve the recycling flow of air, water, and fertilizer to your grass plants. This, in turn, will help to rejuvenate your grass by allowing the roots to grow deeper, creating healthier grass plants and keeping your lawn thicker and greener.

Thatch Control:

Unless you're a roofer by trade, you may not be familiar with what Thatch is. That's O.K., that's why we're here to help! The reason why you may not be familiar with what thatch is is because it accumulates on the surface of your soil just below the grass line and usually out of sight. Thatch is a layer of grass stems, roots, clippings, and debris that settle on the ground and either slowly decompose and/or accumulate over time. Thatch buildup is commonly found in lawns where grass has grown tall, mulch is frequently left, and lawns that have never been aerated. De-thatching is the process of removing thatch from your lawn.
